Aviation expert Brian Bodge serves as the president of PacWest Engineering in Washington state, where he advises companies on aircraft wiring. One of Brian Bodge’s largest clients is Mitsubishi Aircraft, headquartered in Nagoya, Japan. The company is developing SpaceJet, a plane intended for the regional transportation market and the first commercial aircraft to be built in Japan.
SpaceJet’s two models, the M90 and M100, include several conveniences for business travelers. Offering the largest cabin and widest seats for regional aircraft, the jets seat 74 to 88 passengers. Not having a middle seat enhances comfort, and the overhead bin capacity is the largest in its class. Mood lighting creates a relaxing atmosphere.
Passengers have access to several advanced, in-flight entertainment features. New USB-C portals have been installed, along with live television and window views on the seatback screens.
The M90 made its first test flight in March 2020 in Nagoya. The captain reported a smooth ride as it flew for 2 hours over the Pacific Ocean to test vehicle performance in normal conditions.
